Hamm wastewater treatment plant
On behalf of Hiller GmbH, a 520-cubic-meter sludge stacking silo was constructed to expand the storage capacity for dewatered sewage sludge at the Hamm-West sludge treatment/sludge dewatering plant (SBA/SEW) in Hamm.
The silo serves as temporary storage for the dewatered sewage sludge for the Lippeverband and is filled with the dewatered sludge via a pressure pipe. By supporting the silo on a large number of individual supports, the foundation costs for the plant could be reduced. The cladding of the substructure created a natural operating room in which the silo floor heating and the hydraulic unit were housed, protected from the weather. Furthermore, the silo is equipped with a manhole, which greatly simplifies any repairs and maintenance work. The fill level is monitored by fill level indicators.
The discharge from the stack silo with a volume of 520 cubic meters is carried out by a hydraulic sliding frame and two connected type 460 spiral conveyors. The conveying capacity is 50 cubic meters per hour. The sludge is loaded directly onto trucks by two loading screws, which are weighed on an underfloor vehicle scale during the loading process.
